All Grade 500E rebar is the superior MA product. The letters ‘MA’ are clearly marked on each Grade 500E bar. The Micro Alloy (MA) process uses the addition of alloys such as Vanadium to achieve the required strength and ductility required in many applications. This is especially important in relation to New Zealand’s demanding seismic structural design requirements. It is widely recognized by structural engineers that MA manufactured rebar has major advantages over QT product and for this reason many prefer it. Compliant with AS/NZS4671
